Place is beautiful! Fantastic and authentic food, tasty wine, very nice and kind team! You fell yourself very welcomed here. Highly recommended place for food in Exarchia! You also will have free rakia and tasty spread with freshest bread for very small price

This affordable indoor/outdoor local hotspot is a little piece of Crete, full of life every night. Come for the food & raki. Stay for the (free) yogurt & carrot spoon sweet dessert—best in Athens (sounds weird, but it’s not ). €15-25 per person for a BIG meal WITH alcohol. Groups are ideal so you can order a ton of dishes. (2-4 dishes for 2 people, 6-8 dishes for 3 or 4 people). Most dishes have 4 servings. Vegetarian friendly. VERY slow service—expect to be here 3 hours. Call for a reservation on weekends year round and for weeknights during spring/summer. MUST ORDER: Kapnisti melitzana (smoked w feta & ) Keftes ke de dyes (fried zucchini balls) Keftedakia (meatballs) Hortopita (flat wild green pies) Patatas me staka (potatoes w gravy) Gamopilafo (“wedding rice” = lamb with the best rice you’ll ever have) ALSO GOOD: Fava dip (ask for extra bread) Kalitsounia Hortarina (fried wild green pie) Togania kotopoulo (chicken) Rosemary snails Moshari (cardamom organge beef)

I've been going to Oxo Nou for years, it's one of the restaurants in Athens I absolutely love! Great mains, lovely salads, and amazing pies - all their dishes are fantastic. You also get a treat of Cretan raki and yoghurt with carrot spoon sweet. Wherever you are staying in central Athens, it's totally worth venturing here for real Greek food.

Surprisly I found it without looking maps just walking around , big place , cosy they try to maintain the typical for Creta, amazing dishes and also the waitress was really kind, they give raki drink , water, bread who I think is fresh . Completely recommend for everyone and also for something unique , Creta!

Great place with very tasty food and a nice environment. I think the people at the service need a little support on rush hours though. Try the kreatotourta, it's insane!
